At Nature School we spend each class outside in the forest. We are very lucky to have Musqueam Park and Pacific spirit Park close to Sprouts where we can enjoy the outdoors in all weather conditions. We begin the class at Sprouts with focused activities and stories in the classroom that follow a theme, and then we move into the forest for free play where the environment is the third teacher. Some themes that we follow include the changing seasons, life cycles of local plants and animals, the water cycle, and how to be an environmentally conscious member of the community.
