Hello Everyone! We hope you had a great weekend!

This week we’re going to learn about one of Ms. Caroline’s favourite insects, the dragonfly!

Dragonflies are insects, which means, like bees and ladybugs, they have wings, 6 legs, an abdomen and a thorax. Look at the picture here, then draw your own! Remember to label the parts.

Look at these yummy dragonfly snacks! What can you find in your kitchen to make a dragonfly snack? Send us a picture.

Here’s an idea for an easy dragonfly art project you can make at home, using your handprint for the wings. You need paper, glue, markers or paint, and a popsicle stick (if you have one). If you don’t have wiggly eyes at home, draw the eyes on, or cut some from colourful paper. We can’t wait to see how they turn out!

Here are some tricky insect worksheets for you to try. One is a wordsearch, and one is a quiz. Have fun!
