Good morning friends! Happy Tuesday! Today we are going to focus on sharks and their food chains! These fish keep the ocean ecosystem balanced and have so many cool facts about them! Let’s get started!
A food chain shows how each living thing gets food. Food chains begin with plant-life, and end with animal-life. Some animals eat plants, while other animals eat other animals. A simple food chain could start with grass, which is then eaten by an animal.
What is your favourite food to eat? Draw a picture of your favourite food, and then draw a picture of yourself- this is your food chain! Ms. Julia included her food chain below.
Sharks eat roughly 11 tons of food a year! After a particularly large meal, a shark can go up to three months without eating!
